Been Invaded Yet?

After the conflict between Russia and Georgia began this summer, many were concerned that Ukraine might be next on the list. We were glad when we returned from our summer in the States to find that no invasions appear to be imminent.

In fact, Kerri’s cousin came up with a catchy tourism slogan that sums it up: “Ukraine—if you’re not our president, you’re pretty safe from Russian attack here.”

(Ukraine’s president was poisoned, allegedly by Russian agents, several years ago during the Orange Revolution.)
